October Bullet Journal Monthly Spread 2018

With October quickly approaching, its about that time to get out your markers and your bojo and get set up for October. There are tons of Halloween inspired spreads all over Pinterest, but I am not really one for a lot of colour as you know, so I wanted to keep it simple - festive but simple. I found this really cute light bulb look on Pinterest and decided to make a spread around it.

october 2018 monthly calendar

For the monthly spread, I followed the same layout AmandaRachLee does in her bullet journal Plan With Me’s. I kept it simple adding small details with flies and light bulbs to keep with the theme. I left this page pretty bare because I enjoy the white space and I love how it came out.

I also included my Amanda’s YouTube Growth tracker because I like seeing the growth of my channel, and also a list of goals I set out for this month.

mood and habit 2018 oct

I wasn’t really sure what I was doing for the habit and mood trackers but I think they turned out pretty nice. Continuing with the them, I hung lights from the top of the page, and made a gradient colour scheme using yellow and grey markers.

Grey Tomboy Marker

Yellow Highlighter from Sharpie

Orange Highlight Pen from Sharpie

On the Habit Tracker, I decided to do bubbles for this theme. I enjoy separating my habits into full rows because it helps me see it better. This set up did however get a bit confusing because the dates don’t coincide with the weeks, so it takes some time to get to the correct bubble to fill in. If I do this layout in the future, I would lay it out the way I typically do in a calendar format. This 3 line method saves space but it is not very practical.

I filled in the bubbles with the Orange High Lighter.

weekly spread oct 2018

I don’t typically write a lot in the weeks, so I kept it simple with 3-4 lines of space for each day which I wrote quotes, thoughts of the day, or just little summaries. It saves a lot of space in the journal. I think the simplicity of this spread shows very well.
