Should You Splurge on Eyeliner?

Eyeliner is one of those things that you simply need to finish a look. It takes all your eye shadow and ties it together. Now there are some occasions where eyeliner is not needed but we'll talk about that at a later time. A lot of celebrities are known for their iconic eyeliner looks. Celebs like Adele, Rihanna, Katy Perry, of course Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and many others.

I've made my point, eyeliner is timeless dating as far back as the Pyramids. In Ancient Egypt, women would line their eyes with khol like materials to define the eyes. Today we have hundreds of eyeliners to choose from so this brings up the question:

When it comes to eyeliner, do you spend or is it okay to be cheap and save?

As long as the liner does what you need it to do, then its definitely okay to save. Wherever you can save some cash, girl go on and save. I've tried both high-end liners and low-end eyeliners and obviously quality makes a difference. For example, the Sephora Khol pencil's glide like butter on the eyes and are very manipulative, in ways the Wet N Wild Coloricon cannot. But Mac's Fluidline dries out pretty fast and melts off the face in a way that Maybelline New York's Gel liner doesn't.

Eyeliner is one of those things that people tend to go through pretty fast. I mean, most ladies use it everyday. Also, the shelf life of eyeliners is roughly 18 months so you should be repurchasing a new one every once in a while.

The bottom line is that there are tons of great inexpensive eyeliners that some makeup artist even swear by like Maybelline's gel liner, and eye pencil, which are very inexpensive but high quality liners.

You can definitely save on eyeliner. They come in so many colours, to buy them all at a High End price would be difficult for the average girl.

Tip: why not try out cheaper liners in various colours, give them a try, see what you like, then splurge on higher liners when you know that colour or method works for you.
